/l/1600/1681_s.jpg Benefits of Scooping the Poop (REGULARLY)!

Anyone that's ever owned a pet, or knows someone that has, understands the obvious reasons why it is important to clean-up after your pet. Pet waste is unattractive to look at. It smells. It attracts annoying pests. It makes an awful mess when someone (or something ) steps in it, and it's just downright repulsive to have to deal with, in any capacity.

Simply put - everyone agrees that pet waste needs to be cleaned-up, but lots of pet-owners don't want to do it, are physically unable to do it, don't have the time to do it, or are just plain inconsiderate enough not to do it. To this end, let me pass along some additional, yet hopefully more motivating reasons why it is important for pet owners to properly provide for the clean-up of their pets "business" on a regular and recurring basis.

Pet waste is a health hazard . That's right. Pet waste left lying on the ground can actually make you, your family, and your pets, get sick. It can cause this because animal waste, especially dog waste, can contain and transmit parasites such as roundworm, hookworm, coccida, tapeworm and whipworm to name of few. When infected dog waste is left lying on the ground, the eggs of these parasites enter the soil and live there - for a long time. Then, when humans (or pets) come in contact with that soil, they also come in contact with the parasitic eggs, thus potentially starting an infection. Young children that play on the ground, teens or adults playing a pick-up football game, or gardeners tending their soil are all prone to coming in contact with the infested soil.

Pet waste left to accumulate is a big contributor to ground water pollution . It washes down our streets, through our storm drains, eventually making its way to our lakes, streams, and eventually the ocean, carrying all of the parasites, bacteria, viruses and fungi along with it. The result is increased bacteria counts in our ground water supplies, and viral infections and skin rashes for swimmers and outdoor sportsman alike.

And finally, canine waste is poisonous to lawns . It will kill your grass, not grow it or "fertilize" it. It is protein-based matter, not vegetative-based matter like horse manure is. Because of this, it will take more than one year for canine waste to biologically decompose when left lying on the ground, and as it does, it drags all of the above mentioned parasites into the soil with it where they will linger for years.

So there you have it. Just when you thought it was safe to venture out into your backyard again, or take the kids over to the neighbors for play group, you have these other health related concerns to consider. Pet-owners that properly provide for the regular, recurring clean-up of their beloved pets nasty "business", either by doing it themselves or by hiring the surprisingly affordable services of a pet waste clean-up professional, will minimize the likelihood of any of these circumstance ever affecting themselves, their family and friends, and just as importantly your 4 leg friend.

How Does This Service Work?

We'll take care of scooping and disposing dog waste from your yards so you don't ever have to. We will have a set schedule to accommodate each client depending on their preferred day of the week. We will ensure that all gate entrances are secured and your dogs are safe while cleaning up. Also, during the summer months, we will be happy to fill up water bowls, if needed…Coz every dog likes a cold drink of water.

What Are The Business Hours And Schedule?

Schedule and frequency of visit will be predetermined per client. Paw-rific Pet Waste Removal is open 5 days a week, Monday through Friday. Closed on the weekends and observed holidays. If your scheduled date falls on a holiday, we will resume pickup service the next business day.

What If It Rains?

A slight drizzle doesn't really bother us. Only heavy downpour that would prevent us from clearly seeing what needs to get scooped up and the kind of weather that would endanger our staff would keep us from our doo-ties. We will resume dog scoopin' business, on the first day the weather clears up.

Do The Dogs Have To Be Tied Up?

Unless your pet regularly behaves out of control then there is no need for your pet to be restrained as we go about our scooping spree. We'll secure your property so that your dog doesn't escape the grounds.

Should We Be Present During The Cleaning?

If you wish to check how we do our service then you are most welcome to observe. Of course, prior to the first scooping day we'd like to meet the people and the pooches we serve. Otherwise, you could entrust your dog and lawn to us.

Why Do Pet Owners Usually Need This Kind Of Service Done?

There are a number of different reasons pet owner usually acquire our services:

  • A lot of pet owners often have no time during today's hectic pace. We provide clients the convenience for a fast paced lifestyle.
  • Pet owners who have kids want surroundings as clean as possible to avoid any potential health hazard pet poop could cause.
  • Some senior citizens and some physically challenged individuals may feel that they need help in picking up after their pets.
  • Some clients may be out of town and may need us to clean up after the dogs and keep them company for a short while.
  • Or no special reason: It's over a hundred degrees outside or it's freezing cold and you'd rather stay in than pickup dogpiles. Better yet, it may be a perfect day and you simply just don't like to pickup dog poop.
